Crouse-Hinds frangible couplings are designed to shear at a defined force. Their use protects the integrity of the mounted floor flange, and often minimizes the damage to impacted signs, elevated lighting, and navigational/ approach aids. Frangible couplings allow repairs to take place in minimal time.
Note: Couplings are intended for use in application listed. Use of couplings in applications not listed is done at the risk of user and may result in premature or catastrophic failure.
The use of these couplings in non-approved applications should be checked with Crouse-Hinds Engineering department.
